Community News ! Little Visitors of Vegas Inc. - Always Giving Back - Now Helping The Children Heart Foundation

The " Little Visitors of Vegas Inc."  loves the Las Vegas community and offers its support to well-deserving non-profit organizations whenever possible. At this time we are donating $1 from every tour sale to the Children’s
Heart Foundation  in Las Vegas. Here’s a little more about this exceptional organization.
Improving Care & Quality of Life… One Heart at a Time…
It’s important for all children to laugh and play, especially those born with lifelong medical conditions. We at Children’s Heart Foundation are committed to the well-being of these Nevada children. We serve children from prenatal up to 25 years old and their families.
Heart problems in children are surprisingly common. They are, in fact, the most common type of birth defect and the number one cause of death during the first year of life. Nearly twice as many children die from congenital heart disease in the United States each year as die from all forms of childhood cancers combined.
In Nevada alone, more than 350 children are born each year with significant heart disease requiring either intensive medications or surgery. An additional 150 to 250 of Nevada’s children and newborns may develop a heart problem due to infections, Kawasaki disease or Rheumatic fever. Hundreds more will exhibit problems with heartbeat irregularities requiring medications or specialized procedures.
Children’s Heart Foundation was founded by a unique and passionate group of parents and Nevada pediatric cardiologists who have gained firsthand knowledge of the emotional and financial toll exacted by a child’s heart condition. All are eager to provide appropriate services for heart children and their families.
Our Mission – Children’s Heart Foundation is committed to making a difference in the lives of children withheart conditions.
The Foundation has four main goals:
  •  to provide a carefree camp experience for children with heart conditions
  • to educate healthcare professionals and the general public on pediatric cardiology issues
  • to lend support to families as they deal with the emotional and financial toll exacted by a child’s heart problems
  • to support research in the area of pediatric cardiology
